Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply whenever you create an account, register a dancer, or book a class with New Generation Dance (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or booking a class, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any dancer(s) in your care. If you have any questions, contact us at SJNewGenerationDance@gmail.com.
Bookings and payment
Classes are booked and paid for through your account. Prices are shown at the time of booking and may change from time to time. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Where a class is booked or added on your behalf without payment being taken at the time (for example, by a member of staff), a flat administration fee of £0.50 is added when that booking is later paid for. This will only be done if a dancer attends a class without a prior booking. If you have two or more dancers registered on your account, you can choose to apply a 10% sibling discount to your order at checkout.
Cancellations and credits
If we need to cancel a class or an individual session — for example due to teacher illness, weather, or low enrollment — we’ll let you know, and a credit will be added to your account for each affected booking. Credits can be used towards the cost of a future booking and don’t expire.
If you need to cancel a booking yourself, contact us and we’ll arrange this. Whether a credit is issued for a cancellation you request depends on the circumstances and timing.
Fitness to participate
By registering a dancer, you confirm that they are, to the best of your knowledge, fit and healthy to take part in dance and exercise activities, and that you have disclosed any injuries, illnesses, allergies or other conditions that may affect their participation in the dancer’s profile. Please keep this information up to date, and let a teacher know before a class if anything changes.
Liability
Dance and exercise activities carry an inherent risk of injury. Classes are supervised by qualified teachers, and reasonable care is taken to keep dancers safe. Neither New Generation Dance nor its teachers or staff are liable for injury, loss or damage arising from normal participation in a class, except where this is caused by our own negligence — nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
Photos and videos
When registering a dancer, you choose whether you consent to photos or videos of them being taken during classes or performances for use on social media and in advertising. Names are never published alongside these. You can withdraw this consent at any time by editing the dancer’s profile.
Code of conduct
We want classes to be a safe, positive environment for everyone. We ask that dancers, parents and guardians treat teachers, staff and other families with respect. We may, at our discretion, decline a booking or ask a dancer to leave a class in cases of disruptive, unsafe or abusive behaviour.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide, including dancer details and emergency contact information. You can delete your account at any time from your account details page; this schedules deletion of your account and every dancer profile linked to it after a 30-day grace period, which is cancelled automatically if you log back in during that time.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example if our policies change. We’ll update the date below when we do.
